Chiswick House School Pilot Testing

Exciting news from our Maltese school partner, Chiswick House School! They've kicked off full testing mode with 12 teachers, evaluating 11 specially designed lesson plans for our "Mystery at The Museum" game across 12 classrooms.

Teachers are providing valuable feedback through questionnaires to help us refine these lesson plans. A big thank you to all the teachers and students—sounds like they're having a blast! Next, teachers will begin testing the actual board game in their classrooms.

Meanwhile, Scholé (Portugal) and Anatolia College (Greece) are gearing up for their own teacher training, followed by lesson plans and game testing too. All the feedback from the three schools will be crucial in optimizing our game prototype.

Exciting times ahead as we move towards dissemination!

CThink.IT partners meet in Thessaloniki for Master Teacher Training

Partners of CThink.IT ERASMUS+ project convened in Thessaloniki for an enriching Train the Trainer workshop from March 11-14, 2024.

Check out the highlights:

📅 Day 1: Introduced to Computational Thinking, hands-on activities, and delved into game-based learning!

📅 Day 2: Explored board game mechanics, presented lesson plans, and engaged in insightful discussions.

📅 Day 3: Reflective sessions, planned in-school training, and initiated pilot projects!

Following this training, master trainers will now train teachers in their respective schools on using the board game. Testing of the game and lesson plans in classrooms will occur in April for evaluation and feedback. Subsequently, refinement and revision will lead to the final version shared on CTHINK.IT website (www.cthinkit.eu), along with ready-made lesson plans for teachers worldwide to download and implement.   Building the Future of Learning Through Board Games!

Board games are formed from three core elements: Mechanics, Theme, and Components.

We've set our course by choosing an exciting theme, and now, we're in the heart of fine-tuning the game's mechanics and components!

Mechanics: We're crafting the rules and objectives that'll make the learning experience engaging and fun. Think of it as the roadmap for adventure!

Components: Every piece, card, and board square - they all matter! We're ensuring each element is perfect to bring the game to life.

Exciting news! Next week, we embark on crafting the very first prototype. This prototype will be our guiding star as it makes its way to participating schools for some real-world testing.

Stay tuned as we journey toward a new era of education, where learning meets play in the most delightful way!
